1. syncope
2. presyncope
3. palpitations
4. another asymptomatic arrhythmia is suspected with an expected frequency of greater than once a week
5. surveillance following cardiac surgical procedures that have an established risk of causing dysrhythmia
6. detection of AF following TIA or cryptogenic stroke
